First Transformation

Even though the night was cool, I was surprisingly warm. I was kneeling by a pond with nothing on except for my wool leggings. The breeze blew the air around my exposed flesh, except no goose bumps appeared.
I stared at my left arm seeing the sweat bead and quickly evaporate, but my body still did not cool down. My entire skin felt like it had pinpricks all over it. They were not annoying pinpricks, they felt more like numbed nerves trying to gain back their feelings.
The moon was peaking over the treetops bathing the area with its glow. I always had a certain love for the moon before, but not, it had more of an affect on me.
Very unexpectedly, I felt and heard one of my bones snap. I stared down at my arms and saw my bones in my hands start reshaping themselves. They grew wider, thicker, but they were not the only ones that started to change. My legs, arms, chests, and head started going through the same process.
My skin stretched and started to break on my arms. The open skin revealed some dark fur beneath. I felt my eyes expanding. My whole face was changing, too. My eyes could see better in the dark, my teeth were getting longer and sharper, my tongue  felt longer and rougher, and my mouth and nose began to grow into a snout.
More skin started breaking and disintegrating into ash. My calloused hands started forming into hardened paws. The finger bones started breaking through the skin to form claws. My ankles and feet started growing a new bone making my legs take on an irregular angle. Claws sprouted out of my toes, and black fur spread over all of my skin.
My whole body as burning form the transformation. The skin was completely gone, leaving the thick fur over my body. My ears had become pointed and extremely thin. I let out a howl of anger and anguish awaiting the madness that would soon take my mind. I looked down at the water of the pond waiting for the madness. But it never came.
It was not until the moon began to come into my peripheral vision that I realized I was not going insane. I had sat there by the edge of the pond for hours just staring at my own reflection. I wanted to kick myself hard for my own stupidity. As I moved my arms about, the reflection mirrored my movements. Seeing that I was not going insane, I stood up and took a good look at myself. I must have been at least a foot and a half taller than when I was human. My muscles had proportioned themselves to my new size. I decided to start experimenting with my new form.
I performed my routine series of exercises and found that I seemed to be more flexible and agile that I originally was. My strength, dexterity, and stamina had also increased in the transformation. A wolfish grin spread over my face as I put my newfound skills to the test.
I started to hunt animals in the nearby forest picking targets at random and catching them. I would let them go and immediately moved on to another critter. I tried everything from running on the ground with just my legs to running with legs and arms, climbing trees, moving through the trees, jumping, balancing, falling and grabbing to a tree branch, making quick turns, and any possible move I could think of.
I had complete control over my body, and I could use it in any way I wanted it to. I was thoroughly enjoying myself with my new form that I neglected the passage of time.
Dawn was beginning to break when I returned to my spot by the pond. I was running on all four limbs when my werewolf form quite unexpectedly changed back into my human form. My left arm had shrunk back to its human size so fast, that I stumbled and flipped over for several feet until I landed into the pond. Even though I was covered in mud, I could still see and feel the rest of me revert back to my original human self. It wasn't even painful shrinking back to my regular size. I cleaned myself off relieved to be human again, but also a touch sad that I was no longer a werewolf.
I went to the edge of the pond and put some new clothes on. I packed up my little camp and continued on my way, but my mind was a whirlwind of wondering what I might do next full moon.
