Darkness Untold
I am the darkness in the night,
Keeping the world in terrible fright.
Children huddle under their covers,
As they fear the chill that hovers.
Man knows the dread they feel
Though I elude them like a slippery eel.
I am the terror of their dreams,
Pulling them apart at their seams.
They try to laugh away their fears
While I whisper in their ears,
"It is time for you to depart,
For what I do is such an art."
You see me in the grassy hills,
That has your spine filled with chills.
Iam see in the bitter scenes,
That you may see on the siler screens.
As you go on in life with you way,
I am watching you every day.
First Transformation
Even though the night was cool, I was surprisingly warm. I was kneeling by a pond with nothing on except for my wool leggings. The breeze blew the air around my exposed flesh, except no goose bumps appeared.
I stared at my left arm seeing the sweat bead and quickly evaporate, but my body still did not cool down. My entire skin felt like it had pinpricks all over it. They were not annoying pinpricks, they felt more like numbed nerves trying to gain back their feelings.

Alan's heart was beating right out of his chest while he drove down a lighted street in New Jersey. His thoughts were whirling about the events that had just taken place. He couldn't get the grotesque images and screams out of his head. Especially that one image of that .THING tearing a man to pieces.
With much difficulty, he pushed the images out of his head and tried to remember the events that happened early that day. It helped settle his mind a little bit, but he was still shaking from shock and adrenaline.
Alan was at the Starbucks coffee shop enjoying his cappuccino. He checked the time on his Rolex watch. It was fifteen minutes
